Not only is your likelihood of heading to the gym higher, having someone along your side will give you that extra push you need to work harder and sweat more. Exercise first thing in the morning. The longer the day drags on, the less likely it is that you’ll actually squeeze in a workout. After a long day at the office, who wants to spend their precious free time doing cardio or lifting weights. It is more likely that you’ll want to kick back and relax in front of the TV and order takeout. So do your best to complete your workout in the morning while you have the energy and motivation. You’ll feel better all throughout the day if you exercise before work, and you can spend your evening relaxing with friends and family.
Interval training shows some of the best results. If weight loss is what you’re hoping to gain from your workout routine, consider doing some interval training. This is possibly the best way to see results fast. These short bursts of high-intensity exercises followed by short periods of recovery time allows you to burn calories at the optimal level. If you are running on the treadmill or elliptical, this type of exercise is especially beneficial. Warm up for five minutes or so, then increase the intensity and resistance for a few minutes, followed by a normal less intense pace for another five minutes. If you continue this for 45 minutes, you’ll burn anywhere from 300 to 450 calories.
Change things up when it comes to working out. One of the top reasons people fail to stick with their exercise routines is the feeling of boredom and monotony of the same workout over and over again.
