Wow, November really flew by, didn’t it? With the arrival of December, our focus moves toward holiday cheer, and I know many of you have been looking for ideas to refresh your appearance. I don’t think most of us need to make a drastic change to our hair.
Unless you are planning a complete overhaul, I’d encourage you to focus on creating festive hair with shades that can be re-purposed and worn through the winter. So today, I’ll be sharing some ideas for beautiful, not fussy, Christmas hair colors.
1. Rose Gold

Let’s revisit the gold family with a fun twist. You know I am all about that rose gold life.
It feels like the perfect choice for a holiday hair color. The shade is classy and elegant but still brings plenty of fun. I just love everything about it.
2. Silver Hair

I’m kicking things off with classic silver because it is such a staple in Christmas decor. Plus it is a cooler toned color that resembles ice which puts it on my list of winter favorites.
If you are into this look be sure to check out my other shades of grey.
3. Dark Green Ombre

I am seriously loving the idea of a dark green ombre.
Blending dark brown or black hair into a vibrant green hue creates such a bold statement. It is definitely an eye catcher for the holiday season.
4. Glitz and Glam

Sometimes you just need a little extra Christmas pizzazz.
Adding sparkles and glam to any hair color takes the look to the next level. It really goes the extra mile.
5. Icy Blonde

Much like silver hair this icy platinum or ash blonde represents snow perfectly.
The cold weather vibes go hand in hand with Christmas. I would say the cooler the tones the better for this year.
6. Fire And Ice

Similar to the green and grey trend I think red and silver is a really cool way to show your spirit.
It is such a unique look that will definitely set you apart from any crowd.
7. Golden Red Balayage

Spoiler alert: most colors on this list are variations of typical Christmas colors.
It is pretty common to see red and gold used together in holiday items. What better way to highlight that idea than with a gorgeous red and gold balayage?
8. Steel Teal

I am obsessed with the idea of mixing green and silver together to make a fancy and fun holiday color.
I feel like you can use any shade of green including teal. Whether it is vibrant or faded it will totally look the part.
9. Burgundy

Okay so burgundy is not a color commonly used in Christmas decor.
However most people like to let the wine flow during the holidays making it a staple of the Christmas diet.
10. Candy Cane Hair

Nothing says Christmas like a tasty candy cane. This style is my absolute favorite idea for a holiday look. It is just so unique and creative.
11. Straight Red And Green

If you really want to show your Christmas spirit red and green hair is the way to go. It just takes one glance at these colors to know they are meant for the holidays.
There are so many fun ways to incorporate these bold shades into your look like highlights or balayage.
Final Thoughts
Christmas is a magical time of year filled with wonder and excitement. Even though it is cold outside and the days are shorter it is perfect for spending time with loved ones.
I hope you have an amazing holiday filled with love and beautiful hair! May all your wishes come true!
