Short hair has been a go-to look for years, and to no surprise, it is just as chic as ever for big events. A chic bob or pixie cut has become a staple in my lookbook, and with wedding season upon us, I started dreaming up ideas for formal styles.
I threw together some of my favorite ideas for how to style short hair for a wedding in a way that combines both elegance and personality.
1. Vintage Glam

I am seriously in love with a vintage glam vibe for any wedding. It just has this timeless appeal that is so chic. You can get this look with some beautiful waves and finish it off with a nice pin.
It’s an effortless style that’s a perfect go-to.
2. Volume Everywhere

Don’t be afraid to go for major lift all over your hair. Adding volume everywhere, and yes, that includes your bangs, creates such a fun and statement-making look for the big day.
3. Royalty

For a look that is completely regal, this is your new go-to. Just sweep your hair back from your face and place a beautiful headband. It creates the ultimate royal vibe that is so perfect for a wedding.
4. Braid with Low Bun

I’m such a fan of this boho look. A simple braid is an amazing way to keep your hair out of your face while looking totally put-together. When you pair it with a gorgeous low bun, you have the ultimate wedding hairstyle.
5. Knotted Updo

You really can’t go wrong with a knotted updo, it’s such a classic staple for a wedding. To complete the look, I’d add a headband and a veil. Make sure to let a few pretty curls fall down for a softer touch.
6. Simple Pixie

Honestly, you don’t have to do a ton to your pixie cut to look absolutely stunning on your wedding day. Sometimes simple is best! Just add a crown and a veil, and you are all set to go. How easy is that?!
7. Flower Knot

A timeless updo is always a perfect choice for any wedding. You can add a little bit of your own personality to it by placing some gorgeous flowers into your look. It’s such a pretty and romantic touch.
8. Volumizing Lob

We’ve all seen curly lobs, but you can switch things up by giving your style a lot of volume in the back. I think this looks so good paired with some gorgeous bangs or a nice accessory.
9. Princess Chic

For a full-on princess vibe, this look is everything. Sweep your bangs over to one side and keep the rest of your hair soft and simple. The final touch is a small crown, which really completes the style.
10. Wrapped Bob

This is such a smart way to keep your hair out of your face. Just wrap it behind your head and use a beautiful pin to secure it. I’d add some curls for a fancier feel, and you’re ready to go!
11. Boho Bob

How cute is this boho bob? It feels so perfect for a wedding, and I especially love it paired with a gorgeous crown. It gives off such a dreamy, romantic vibe.
12. Glitter Bomb

Feeling a little funky? I love this idea. Add some glitter to your pixie cut for a fun and unexpected touch. The party will definitely get started once you show up with this look!
13. Natural

If you truly love your hair exactly the way it is, then my advice is to just leave it as it is. You can always spruce it up a bit with some cute accessories, like a gorgeous flower crown or a classic veil.
14. Simple Twist

When accessories aren’t really your thing, this simple twist is a perfect option. It’s so elegant and beautiful, but in a way that isn’t over the top. It’s a total win in my book.
15. Tousled Pixie

For a great look, curl your pixie all over and give it a ton of volume. I love the idea of adding a headband and letting your hair float around it. It’s so effortlessly cool.
16. Flower Crown with Loose Waves

You don’t need to go crazy with your hair just because it’s a wedding. Sometimes less is more! Try some simple loose waves and top it all off with a gorgeous flower crown.
17. Cool Pixie

This pixie style is so cute. Just part your hair to one side and give it some good volume. A dainty flower crown is the perfect finishing touch and makes this look ideal for any wedding.
18. Messy Bun

A messy bun is such a classic for weddings, and for good reason! This hairstyle looks great on pretty much everyone, and it has that perfectly imperfect vibe I love so much.
19. Twist and Curls

When you curl your hair, you’re giving it a lot of amazing texture to play with. For the perfect look, take your hair, twist it back, and pin it in place with a few flowers.
20. Curled Under Bob

Your bob cut can easily be styled for your wedding. All you have to do is slightly curl the ends under. This gives your hair a very elegant and tailored look that won’t take any attention away from you.
21. Glam Curls

I’m all for giving yourself a ton of curls for your wedding day! It’s such a romantic and festive style. Adding a beautiful front veil is the perfect way to tie the whole look together.
22. Curls, Braids, and Flowers

If you’re having a hard time deciding what you love, why not just add them all together? Try this curly-haired look that incorporates braids and a nice flower accent. What’s not to love?!
23. Gorgeous Curls

You can let your hair go wild for a wedding with a gorgeous set of curls. I’d suggest using some hairspray to keep everything perfectly in place all night long.
24. Curls with Headpiece

This is such a beautiful combination. Let your curls flow freely at your wedding and just add a beautiful headpiece into the mix. It’s simple but makes such a statement.
25. Full Bangs

You can give yourself a set of gorgeous bangs to really amp up your hairstyle during the wedding day. For a complete look, I’d pair them with some messy curls.
26. Stunning Bun

This gorgeous updo adds so much dimension to your look. I would add a veil and some accessories to really finish the style off perfectly.
27. Small Details

Sometimes just adding the smallest detail to your short hairstyle can really set the mood for a wedding. It doesn’t have to be a big statement to make a huge impact.
And there you have it! Just because your hair is short doesn’t mean you can’t have a totally gorgeous style for a wedding. I hope these ideas gave you some inspo for the season!
